Sui-San
Sui-San is a Titan — a member of the Eternals colony on Saturn's moon — and is most notably known as the mother of Thanos. Her connection to A'Lars (Mentor) places her at the heart of Titan's tragic history and the origins of one of Marvel's most feared cosmic villains.
Sui-San made her Marvel debut in the pages of The Avengers Annual #7 in 1977, brought to life by the visionary Bronze Age talents of Jim Starlin and Joe Rubinstein — and if those names and that creative pedigree tell you anything, it's that she was born into some of the most cosmically ambitious storytelling of her era. Though her total appearance count is modest, she moves in extraordinarily rarefied company, sharing the page with Thanos, Mentor, A'Lars, Thor, and Iron Man across titles like Thanos Rising and Avengers. The fact that one of her appearances carries key-issue status speaks to her significance in the larger Marvel tapestry — she may not be ubiquitous, but when Sui-San appears, it matters. For collectors and readers drawn to the mythic, cosmic corners of the Marvel Universe, she's a figure well worth seeking out.
