Squeak

Squeak is a minor mouse character from the Garfield comic book series, inhabiting the same cozy suburban world as Garfield, Jon, and Odie — the kind of small creature that a lasagna-obsessed cat would presumably rather ignore than chase.

A small presence with a surprisingly enduring place in the world of everyone's favorite lasagna-loving cat, Squeak made their debut in Garfield #15 back in 1988, courtesy of the legendary Jim Davis. Emerging in the Copper Age, this character has kept some truly iconic company — sharing pages with Garfield, Jon Arbuckle, Odie, Arlene, and the beloved Pooky across a publishing run that stretched all the way to 2013. Six catalog appearances may not sound like a lot, but in the cozy, character-rich universe of Random House's Garfield comics, every recurring face tells a story worth revisiting.
