Skaar
Born on the savage planet Sakaar, Skaar is the son of the Hulk (Bruce Banner) and the Oldstrong warrior Caiera, inheriting his father's immense strength and his mother's rare Old Power over stone and earth. Emerging fully grown after a violent birth, he became a fierce and conflicted warrior shaped by Sakaar's brutal landscape.
Few Modern Age debuts carry the kind of mythic weight that Skaar's does β crashing onto the scene in the climactic fifth issue of World War Hulk in 2008, a collector-significant moment that announced an entirely new force in the Marvel Universe. Created by Greg Pak and John Romita Jr., Skaar quickly earned his own flagship series, Skaar: Son of Hulk, before carving out a presence across Incredible Hulk and Dark Avengers over a publishing history that stretches all the way to 2026. He moves in seriously heavy company β Bruce Banner, the Hulk, Wolverine, She-Hulk β which tells you everything about the tier of Marvel storytelling he inhabits. Nearly two decades in and still appearing, Skaar is a Modern Age original well worth tracking down.
