Sister Esperanza

From the early 1990s DC universe comes Sister Esperanza, introduced in the very first issue of The Darkstars in 1992 by writer Michael Jan Friedman and artist Larry Stroman. She emerged at the dawn of the Modern Age, stepping into a series that carved out its own corner of the DC cosmos alongside compelling figures like Ferrin Colos, Carla White, and Mo Douglas. Her four appearances may be modest in number, but she's part of the founding fabric of a fan-favorite title that still sparks collector curiosity decades later.
