Who is Sentinela?

Sentinelas are massive robotic hunters created to seek out and capture — or destroy — mutants, first deployed by the scientist Bolivar Trask, who feared the rise of Homo superior. Controlled by their prime directive to protect humanity, they became one of the X-Men's most persistent threats.

Sentinela made their comics debut in 1985's Superaventuras Marvel #36, a Bronze Age arrival brought to life by the creative pairing of Steve Englehart and Billy Graham under the Levoir banner. Across a publishing span that stretches all the way to 2012, this character graces the pages of Marvel Série I, Superaventuras Marvel, and Marvel Série II, keeping vivid company with the likes of Scott Summers, Anjo, Fera, and Bobby Drake — Homem de Gelo himself. A character with nearly three decades of catalog presence is always worth a second look for the dedicated collector hunting the full picture of Marvel's Portuguese-language publishing history.
