Who is Scourge?

Emerging from Marvel's Modern Age in 2000, Scourge carved out a presence in the pages of Thunderbolts — one of Marvel's most morally complex corners, populated by the likes of Songbird, Moonstone, and Jack Monroe. Debuted in Thunderbolts #34 by Glenn Herdling and Gregg Schigiel, this character keeps genuinely compelling company, sharing adventures with some of the Marvel Universe's most fascinating reformed and not-so-reformed figures. With a relatively focused run through the mid-2000s, Scourge is a rewarding discovery for dedicated Thunderbolts completists hunting every thread of that era's rich, layered storytelling.
