Who is Ruckus?

Ruckus is a Marvel mutant villain who debuted as a member of the Nasty Boys, a team of mutant mercenaries operating in service of the villainous Mister Sinister. He clashed with X-Factor, the government-sponsored mutant team, alongside fellow Nasty Boys Slab and Hairbag.

Bursting onto the scene in 1992's X-Factor #75 under the sharp creative partnership of Peter David and Larry Stroman, Ruckus is a Copper/Modern Age Marvel creation with a flair for chaos baked right into the name. Over a publishing history stretching all the way to 2024, this character has kept wild company — sharing pages with the likes of Bobby Drake, Slab, and Hairbag in the pages of X-Factor and its celebrated collected editions. A niche but persistent presence in the Marvel universe, Ruckus is exactly the kind of deep-cut discovery that reminds devoted collectors just how richly populated the corners of the X-universe truly are.
