Who is Professor Honeycutt?

Professor Honeycutt is a scientist whose mind becomes accidentally transferred into the body of a robot, making him a fugitive — the "Fugitoid" — sought by both military forces and aliens who want to exploit his knowledge of teleportation technology. He becomes an ally of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Few characters can claim the distinction of their very own debut title, but Professor Honeycutt launched in the Bronze Age with Fugitoid #1 in 1985 — a Mirage Comics milestone born from the creative minds of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird at the height of their world-building ambitions. Over nearly three decades, this intriguing figure carved out a place in the broader Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe, sharing pages with Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo across some of the most beloved indie comics of the era. With a key issue to their name and a presence that stretches from 1985 all the way to 2014, Professor Honeycutt is a rewarding discovery for any collector digging deeper into the rich mythology that Eastman and Laird built beyond the Turtles themselves.
