Who is Plexiglas?
A minor but memorable face from the beloved Asterix universe, Plexiglas made their debut in 1972's Asterix #12, brought into being by the legendary creative partnership of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo — with Gudrun Penndorf along for the ride. This Bronze Age character inhabits the wonderfully comic world of Egmont Ehapa's Asterix and Asterix Mundart editions, sharing pages with the likes of Automatix, Tullius Redeflus, and Claudius Musculus across a publishing span that stretched into the mid-1980s. With only a handful of catalog appearances, Plexiglas is the kind of delightful background gem that rewards the dedicated collector who loves discovering every corner of Goscinny and Uderzo's richly populated Gaulish world.
