Paragraf
Paragraf is a Bronze Age creation who made their debut in 1971's Asterix #9, brought to life by the legendary team of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo — with Gudrun Penndorf contributing to that first appearance — and published through Egmont Ehapa across a surprisingly long stretch of nearly three decades. Appearing most in Asterix and the dialect-flavored Asterix Mundart series, this character keeps wonderfully named company with the likes of Grautvornix, Stenograf, and Ganzbaf, which tells you something about the playful, pun-rich world they inhabit. With a catalog presence that includes a recognized key issue, Paragraf may be a compact entry in the grand Asterix tapestry, but for devoted collectors of European comics that's often exactly where the hidden gems lie.
