Orthopädix
Orthopädix is a supporting Gaulish villager from the Asterix universe, inhabiting the same humor-filled indomitable village as Asterix and Obelix. Like most villagers, his name follows the comic's punning suffix tradition, placing him among the colorful cast of ancient Gauls resisting Roman occupation.
Born from the legendary creative partnership of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo, Orthopädix made their debut in 1975 in the pages of MV Comix, a Bronze Age arrival in the beloved world of Asterix. Published through Egmont Ehapa, this character inhabits the rich, humor-filled Gaulish universe alongside familiar faces like Obelix, Automatix, and Methusalix. With appearances spanning Asterix and the dialect-flavored Asterix Mundart series, Orthopädix is a charming piece of the mosaic that makes the Asterix franchise such a treasure for collectors who love to dig into every corner of its wonderfully named, wonderfully crafted cast.
