Daniel Berkhart is the second character to assume the Mysterio identity, a master of illusion and misdirection who impersonated the original Mysterio to menace Spider-Man, employing the same arsenal of holographic trickery, gas-based effects, and theatrical deception as his predecessor.

A master of misdirection born in the Bronze Age, this Mysterio made his grand entrance in The Amazing Spider-Man #141 in 1975, conjured into existence by the creative partnership of Gerry Conway and Ross Andru.
