Mrs. Potts
Mrs. Potts is the warm, maternal head housekeeper of the Beast's enchanted castle, transformed by a curse into a teapot. She serves as a nurturing presence and voice of wisdom among the castle's enchanted servants, including her young son Chip.
Warm, wise, and wonderfully maternal, Mrs. Potts made her comics debut in 1991 courtesy of Marvel's Disney's Beauty and the Beast, brought to the page by creators Bobbi JG Weiss, Linda Woolverton, and Colleen Doran. A cherished figure of the Copper/Modern Age, she shares her enchanted world with Belle, The Beast, Lumière, Cogsworth, and little Chip across a run that carried through the mid-1990s. With 11 catalog appearances, she may not be the most prolific comics presence, but any collector who loves the Disney side of Marvel's output will find her a delightful and heartwarming piece of that era's charm.
