Mr. Bluster
Straight out of the Golden Age of comics, Mr. Bluster made his four-color debut in Howdy Doody #1 in 1949, brought to life by Edward Kean and Dick Hall for Dell Comics. He's part of the beloved Howdy Doody universe, sharing pages with iconic figures like Howdy Doody himself, Clarabell, Dilly Dally, and Flub-a-Dub β a wonderfully nostalgic cast that defined early postwar children's entertainment. His appearances span a charming slice of early 1950s Dell publishing, turning up across Howdy Doody, Jesse James, and Leave It to Binky, making him a delightful little artifact of that innocent, exuberant Golden Age moment. For collectors with a soft spot for mid-century Americana, tracking down his handful of appearances is a genuinely rewarding piece of comics history.
