Who is Marty McFly?

Marty McFly is a teenager from Hill Valley, California, who is accidentally sent back to 1955 in a time-traveling DeLorean built by his friend Doc Brown. He must ensure his parents fall in love — securing his own existence — before finding a way back to 1985.

Marty McFly made his comics debut in the pages of Hawk and Dove #19 in 1990, carrying the energy of the Copper Age into what would become a decades-long comics presence stretching all the way to 2020. IDW's Back to the Future titles — including Tales from the Time Train — gave this beloved character a proper sequential art home, where he shares the page with Doc Brown, Biff Tannen, and the whole McFly family across 28 catalog appearances. With one key issue among them and a run spanning thirty years, this is a comics legacy well worth tracking down for any fan who wants to see an iconic pop-culture figure get the illustrated treatment he deserves.
