Buzzing out of the Marvel funny pages in 1985, Magsquito is one of the delightfully absurd villains who made Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham such a beloved corner of the Bronze Age. Created by Steve Skeates and Mark Armstrong, this pun-named pest shares the page with Spider-Ham, Bunsen Bunny, and the ever-blowhard J. Jeremiah Jackal Jr. in Marvel's gleefully anarchic animal-universe romp. With only a handful of appearances to their name, Magsquito is a true deep-cut collectible — the kind of wonderfully weird character that reminds you just how inventive and playful comics could be when nobody was taking themselves too seriously.
