Lord Chester
Stepping out of the shadows of Italian horror comics, Lord Chester made his debut in Dylan Dog #8 in 1987, born from the imagination of Tiziano Sclavi and Luigi Piccatto at Sergio Bonelli Editore. This Copper Age creation has haunted the pages of Dylan Dog and its companion series — Maxi Dylan Dog and Collana Almanacchi — across an impressive span of more than three decades, surfacing periodically through 2020. In those pages he keeps distinguished company: the nightmare investigator Dylan Dog himself, the sardonic Groucho, the seasoned Ispettore Bloch, and even the storied Lord Herbert George Wells. Sixteen appearances may sound select, but in the richly atmospheric world of Italy's most beloved horror comic, every recurring figure carries weight — and Lord Chester is clearly one worth seeking out.
