Who is Judge Quimby?

Judge Quimby is a member of Mega-City One's brutal law-enforcement judiciary, operating in the same dystopian future as Judge Dredd. A street-level Judge, Quimby upholds the Judges' totalitarian brand of instant justice in one of comics' most iconic sci-fi settings.

Judge Quimby stepped onto the mean streets of Mega-City One in 1980, born from the creative partnership of Alan Grant and Ezquerra in the pages of 2000 AD — that legendary British weekly that defined comics cool for a generation. A Bronze Age figure embedded in one of comics' most richly imagined futures, Quimby keeps formidable company: sharing pages with Judge Dredd himself, Chief Judge Griffin, Judge McGruder, and even the bounty hunter Johnny Alpha. With a presence stretching across nearly three decades and preserved in the celebrated Complete Case Files collections, this is a character who quietly endures in the background of a universe that rewards the attentive reader.
