Jeannot made their debut in 1970 alongside a namesake companion in Corinne et Jeannot, a Silver Age creation from the pen of Tabary — the celebrated French cartoonist best known for bringing Iznogoud to life. Published under Éditions Tabary and appearing across the pages of the beloved Franco-Belgian anthology Pif Gadget, Jeannot kept remarkable company over nearly three decades, sharing those colorful pages with the likes of Corto Maltese and Gai-Luron. With a run stretching from 1970 all the way to 1998 and at least one collector-recognized key issue to their name, Jeannot is a charming piece of French comics history well worth seeking out.
