Jack Hammer

Jack Hammer is the alias of Weasel, Deadpool's closest friend and go-to weapons and information supplier. A brilliant but cowardly tech expert, he supports Wade Wilson's mercenary operations from the sidelines, providing gear and intel rather than direct combat.

Debuting in the very first issue of Deadpool back in 1998 — courtesy of the creative team of Joe Kelly, Geneviève Coulomb, and Ed McGuinness — Jack Hammer stepped into the Copper/Modern Age alongside some of the most gloriously chaotic company in comics: Wade Wilson, T-Ray, and the Merc with a Mouth himself. His presence in the catalog spans a respectable stretch from 1998 to 2016, with appearances spread across Deadpool and Deadpool - Les Origines under the Panini France banner, giving him a distinctly Franco-Belgian flavor in the collected record. He may not have the page count of the headliners he rubs shoulders with, but any character who gets their start in a landmark debut issue and keeps showing up for nearly two decades clearly has something worth tracking down.
