False Face
False Face is a Gotham City criminal mastermind who conceals his true identity behind lifelike masks, allowing him to impersonate virtually anyone. This talent for disguise makes him a uniquely slippery foe for Batman and Robin, as his real face—and name—remain unknown.
A slippery Silver Age schemer, False Face first crept into the DC Universe in Batman #113 back in 1958, courtesy of Bob Kane, bringing an air of mystery and deception to Gotham's rogues' gallery from the very start. Over a remarkable span stretching all the way to 2021, this enigmatic figure has crossed paths with the likes of Batman, Robin, Dick Grayson, Bruce Wayne, and even the Joker — rarefied company by any measure. Most at home in Batman '66 and the classic Batman title, with appearances in Catwoman rounding out the résumé, False Face may be a rare find in the catalog, but that scarcity only adds to the allure for collectors hunting the corners of Gotham's history.
