Falbala
Falbala is a beautiful Gaulish woman from Astérix's village whose return home from finishing school in Condatum causes considerable turmoil — most notably reducing the usually invincible Obélix to a lovesick, hapless admirer utterly unable to focus on anything else.
Few characters in the beloved Astérix universe have made such a memorable impression in a compact number of appearances as Falbala, who first graced the pages of the series' tenth album in 1967, born from the brilliant creative partnership of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Emerging during the Silver Age, she inhabits one of Franco-Belgian comics' most cherished and enduring worlds, sharing pages with iconic village fixtures like Obélix, Panoramix, Abraracourcix, and Assurancetourix across a publishing run that stretched an impressive four decades under Éditions Albert René. Her select handful of catalog appearances only adds to her distinction — in the irrepressible, gag-packed world of that indomitable Gaulish village, even a few appearances alongside such legendary company is worth celebrating.
