Chief Ferguson stepped into the DC Universe in 1986, born from the creative partnership of Gerry Conway and Joe Brozowski during the Copper Age's fertile run of character-building. With only a handful of appearances spread across Firestorm the Nuclear Man, The Fury of Firestorm, and Secret Origins, this is a figure who inhabited a very specific corner of that world — one busy enough to share pages with the likes of Firestorm, Green Lantern, Superman, and Manhunter.
