Cerebra
Cerebra is a mutant from the dystopian future of the X-Men 2099 universe, active in a world where mutantkind faces extreme persecution. She serves as a member of the X-Men in that ravaged tomorrow, carrying on the legacy of Xavier's dream under far darker circumstances.
Born in the early 1990s wave of Marvel's bold future-forward storytelling, Cerebra made her debut in Hero Premiere Edition #7 (1993), courtesy of artist Ron Lim, stepping into the dystopian tomorrow of the X-Men 2099 universe. She's spent over three decades weaving through Marvel's timeline, from the gritty Copper/Modern Age corridors of X-Men 2099 to more recent adventures in Marauders and Steve Orlando's celebrated run on that title. Along the way she's shared pages with a compelling cast of characters β Shakti Haddad, Skullfire, Bloodhawk, and others β marking her as a figure who gravitates toward Marvel's most intriguing corners. With 31 years of publishing history behind her, Cerebra is a rewarding discovery for any fan who loves characters with genuine longevity and a distinct identity all their own.
