Captain Harding

A minor but historically charged figure, Captain Harding stepped onto the page in 1960's The Brave and the Bold #28 — one of the most celebrated key issues in all of Silver Age collecting, a landmark moment in DC history. With only a handful of appearances spread across Detective Comics and The Brave and the Bold, this is a background player who nonetheless shares his pages with some of DC's most iconic names, including Batman, Bruce Wayne, and J'Onn J'Onzz the Martian Manhunter. Captain Harding may be a small piece of the puzzle, but being present at the dawn of the Silver Age — brought to life by the legendary team of Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky — makes even a brief appearance worth a second look for the devoted collector.
