Cad Lackey

A creature of the Bronze Age, Cad Lackey slunk onto the scene in Underdog #7 in 1976, brought to life by writer Steve Skeates, and has kept some genuinely colorful company ever since — sharing pages with the likes of Underdog himself, Sweet Polly Purebred, Simon Bar Sinister, and Riff Raff. With a name that practically announces villainy, this character fits right into the roguish ensemble that made the Underdog comics such a lively corner of the funny-animal world, later carried forward through Spotlight Comics into the 1990s. Four catalog appearances may be a modest tally, but for devoted collectors of the Underdog series, tracking down every scoundrel in that world is half the fun.
