Who is Banshee?

This is the German-language Panini edition reprint of the Marvel mutant Banshee (Sean Cassidy), an Irish X-Man whose superpower is a supersonic scream capable of shattering steel and enabling flight.

A fixture of the German-language X-Men universe published by Panini Deutschland, Banshee made their debut in 1997 and has kept remarkably distinguished company ever since — sharing pages with the likes of Wolverine, Scott Summers, and Hank McCoy across nearly three decades of publication. With appearances spanning from 1997 all the way to 2026 and a presence across X-Men, Die furchtlosen X-Men, and X-Men Special, this is a character with real staying power in the Panini catalog. Two of those appearances carry key-issue status, making them worth a closer look for collectors who dig into the international side of the X-Men world — a corner of comics history that mainstream collectors often overlook to their loss.
