Arnold Ansen
Stepping out of the gritty streets of late-1980s Marvel, Arnold Ansen made his debut in The Punisher #8 in 1988 — right in the thick of the Copper Age, when Frank Castle's brutal corner of the Marvel universe was at its most electric. Created by Mike Baron and Whilce Portacio, Ansen shares his pages with some of the most compelling figures in the Punisher's world, including David Lieberman and Microchip, which tells you something about the shadowy, morally complex company he keeps. His presence stretches across nearly two decades of publication history, turning up in both The Punisher and Essential Punisher, making him a small but genuine thread in one of Marvel's most enduring street-level sagas. A rare find for the dedicated Punisher completist.
