Alex Power

154 appearances · Bronze Age · 1981–2026 · 10 key issues
Who is Alex Power?

When a dying Kymellian alien named Aelfyre Whitemane gifted four young siblings extraordinary abilities, Alex Power became the oldest founding member of Power Pack — initially wielding gravity-manipulation powers as Gee/Zero-G, though the siblings frequently exchanged their unique abilities among themselves.

Few Marvel characters can claim a Bronze Age debut and nearly half a century of continuous relevance, but Alex Power has done exactly that — first appearing in Rom #24 in 1981, courtesy of a stellar creative team including Bill Mantlo, Mark Gruenwald, and Sal Buscema. A fixture of Power Pack and even the pages of G.I. Joe, a Real American Hero, Alex has spent decades sharing adventures with Jack, Julie, and Katie Power, alongside Lightspeed and Energizer, making him a cornerstone of one of Marvel's most endearing young-hero concepts. With 10 key-issue appearances recognized by collectors and 144 catalog entries spanning all the way to 2026, this is a character whose staying power is no accident — he's a genuine piece of Marvel's heart. If you've never dipped into his corner of the Marvel universe, you're in for a warm, action-packed discovery.

Identity

Real name. Alexander "Alex" Power

Powers. Originally gravity manipulation (codename Gee/Zero-G — anti-gravity, making objects weightless/float); the Power Pack siblings repeatedly swapped powers, so Alex also held Mass Master (density control) and Powerhouse (energy absorption/disintegration) abilities at various times.
