Who Is Turok?

Turok is a young Native American warrior who became stranded in a prehistoric valley filled with dinosaurs and other ancient dangers — a concept that made him one of comics' most unique adventure heroes. He first appeared in Four Color #596 in 1954, and his classic series Turok, Son of Stone ran for decades, following his struggles to survive and find a way out of the lost valley alongside his companion Andar. Turok later crossed into the Valiant Universe via a crossover with Magnus Robot Fighter before starring in his own Valiant series in the 1990s, reimagining him with a grittier, more modern edge. He has since been revived multiple times by publishers including Dynamite Entertainment, each take putting a fresh spin on this timeless lost-world premise.
