Who Is Turok?

Turok is a young Native American warrior who found himself trapped in a prehistoric valley filled with dinosaurs and other ancient dangers — making for one of comics' most unique survival adventures. He first appeared in Four Color #596 in 1954, and his stories originally followed him navigating a lost land with only his wits, bow, and courage. Turok later crossed into the Valiant Universe through a crossover with Magnus Robot Fighter before headlining his own Valiant series, bringing his prehistoric world into contact with sci-fi storytelling. Over the decades, Turok has been published by Dell, Gold Key, Acclaim, and Dynamite, each era putting its own spin on the timeless 'man vs. dinosaurs' premise.
