Who Is Tintin?

Tintin is a classic comic character — a young Belgian reporter and adventurer created by cartoonist Hergé, who first appeared in 1929 in the Belgian newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle. He's best known for globe-trotting adventures packed with mystery, humor, and action, always accompanied by his loyal fox terrier Snowy. The series, known as The Adventures of Tintin, spans 24 albums and has been translated into over 100 languages, making it one of the most widely read comics in the world. Notable companions include the blustery Captain Haddock, the bumbling detectives Thomson and Thompson, and the brilliant Professor Calculus. The series was also adapted into a 2011 animated film directed by Steven Spielberg.
