Zwar

In the early 2000s, writer-artist Leo Leowald launched Zwar, a two-issue miniseries from his own Leowald imprint. A self-contained work of speculative fiction, it explores a near-future where memory and identity are traded as commodities. Leowald's stark, expressive art and taut storytelling mark this as a distinctive, if brief, entry in the landscape of independent comics.
