Zorro

From 1955, World Distributors brought Zorro to the comic page in a six-issue series, with writer Gaylord Du Bois scripting the adventures of the masked vigilante. Each issue featured lush, painted covers and interior art by an uncredited painter, giving the Old California setting a distinctive, storybook feel. This brief but visually striking run captures the swashbuckling spirit of the character during the early days of licensed comic publishing.
