In the early 2000s, Italian publisher Libellus launched Zona X, a seven-issue horror anthology series that ran from 2008 to 2013. Each installment explored a self-contained, eerie tale set within a mysterious, shifting zone—a liminal space where reality warped and dread took root. While the series featured a rotating roster of writers and artists, it is most associated with creator and frequent writer Stefano Fantelli, whose atmospheric scripting defined the book’s unsettling tone.
