Zeven kogels voor Oxford

This three-issue series from Le Lombard, published between 2003 and 2005, teams writer Jorge Zentner with artist Marcello Quintanilha under the pseudonym Montecarlo. A taut, atmospheric thriller, it follows a man's obsessive quest for revenge in the wake of a violent tragedy, unfolding across a starkly rendered landscape. Quintanilha's expressive, moody artwork gives the story a cinematic intensity, making it a striking example of European crime comics from the early 2000s.
