Zap

Robert Crumb's underground comix landmark Zap debuted in 1972 from the San Francisco Comic Book Company, building on the legendary, earlier run of the same title that had defined the counterculture movement. This series, most closely associated with Crumb's singular, boundary-pushing artwork and satirical vision, continued to deliver the raw, unapologetically weird and politically charged comics that made the title an essential touchstone of the underground comix scene.
