About the series
In 2021 and 2022, Ludens revived the iconic Italian western hero Zagor for a six-issue miniseries titled Zagor - Priče iz Darkwooda, bringing the Spirit with the Hatchet back to his familiar haunted woods. Written and drawn by a fresh creative team, this Croatian-published run honored the character’s pulp roots while offering self-contained tales of adventure and mystery. It stands as a modern, affectionate tribute to the long-running Sergio Bonelli series, reintroducing Zagor to a new generation of readers in the Balkans.
