Zabavnik

A Serbian comic magazine launched in 1951 by Omladinski borac, Zabavnik is best remembered for its long-running serialization of classic Disney newspaper strips, most notably Floyd Gottfredson's iconic Mickey Mouse adventures. Though only a single issue is recorded here, the series itself became a beloved staple of Yugoslav comics, introducing generations of readers to expertly crafted, all-ages storytelling. Its legacy lies in its role as a cultural bridge, bringing the polished work of Gottfredson and his collaborator Merrill De Maris to an international audience.
