A spin-off anthology from Kodansha's Young Magazine, Kaizokuban (or "Pirate Edition") ran for 47 issues between 1986 and 1994, offering a grittier, more experimental platform for serialized manga. The title is most closely associated with creator Yūji Takada, who contributed heavily as both writer and artist across its run. This series served as a proving ground for edgy, adult-oriented stories that pushed the boundaries of the magazine's mainline content.
