About the series
Launched in 1972 by Last Gasp, Young Lust was an early and influential underground comix series that satirized the romance and confession comics of earlier decades. Most closely associated with the talents of Bill Griffith and Justin Green, the series used a deliberately crude, confessional style to skewer sexual mores and pop culture fantasies. Though its initial run consisted of just a single issue, its place in the underground canon is significant for its sharp, self-aware parody and its role in expanding the boundaries of what comics could address.
