Yikes!

From 1995 to 1996, Steven Weissman—also credited as Ribs and Steven K. Weissman—wrote and drew all five issues of Yikes!, a quirky, offbeat series published by Weissman. The comic showcases Weissman’s distinctive, minimalist style and deadpan humor, focusing on the surreal misadventures of oddball characters in a small-town setting. A cult favorite among indie-comics enthusiasts, Yikes! remains a key early showcase of Weissman’s singular, deadpan voice in 1990s alternative comics.
