Since 1976, André Jobin and artist Derib have guided readers across the Great Plains in Yakari, a long-running European comic series from publisher Le Lombard. Following the adventures of a young Sioux boy who can speak with animals, the series is renowned for its gentle, respectful portrayal of Native American culture and its lush, expressive artwork. With a single-issue format that has continued into the present day, Yakari remains a beloved classic for its timeless themes of friendship, nature, and discovery.
