In 2010–2011, the Bulgarian publisher Артлайн Студиос (Artline Studios) released a 10-issue Bulgarian-language translation of classic Smurfs comics, bringing the beloved blue characters to a new audience. While the original creators remain unnamed in these facts, the series stands as a localized reprint of the iconic Franco-Belgian series, preserving the whimsical adventures and gentle humor of Peyo’s world for Bulgarian readers. Its significance lies in making a foundational European comic accessible in translation during a period of growing international comics distribution in Eastern Europe.
