Wunderland

In a near-future Berlin where the city’s chaotic energy has been replaced by sterile order, Wunderland (2017–present, avant-verlag) follows a woman named Nina as she investigates the mysterious disappearance of her brother, a graffiti artist whose rebellious spirit may hold the key to what’s been lost. Created by writer Claudia Sandberg and artist Tom Tirabosco, this single-issue graphic novel uses Tirabosco’s moody, expressive linework to explore themes of gentrification, memory, and the erasure of subculture. It stands as a poignant, atmospheric meditation on how cities change and what gets left behind.
