Witchblade

From 1996 to 2002, Semic S.A. published 27 issues of Witchblade, a supernatural crime saga centered on New York detective Sara Pezzini and the sentient, ancient artifact known as the Witchblade. Writers Nicole Duclos, Christina Z, and David Wohl, alongside artists Michael Turner, Randy Green, and Keu Cha, defined the series' gritty, visually dynamic tone. This run established the core mythos of the Witchblade as a force that bonds with a chosen woman, blending police procedural with dark fantasy and launching one of the most iconic female-led comics of the 1990s.
