Winnetou und Old Shatterhand

A new German comic series from BSV Hannover, Winnetou und Old Shatterhand (2024–present) revives the classic Western duo for a fresh audience. After just one issue, it's too early to gauge its full scope, but the series clearly draws on the enduring popularity of Karl May's iconic Apache chief and his white blood brother. The creative team associated with this launch remains to be seen, as the series is still in its infancy. Its significance lies in keeping the legendary frontier partnership alive in sequential art for a new generation.
