About the series
A gleefully absurd Polish superhero satire, Wilq Superbohater has been running since 2003 under BM Vision, with brothers Bartosz and Tomasz Minkiewicz steering the series as its primary writers and Bartosz Minkiewicz providing the art. The comic chronicles the misadventures of a deliberately inept, overweight, and foul-mouthed hero whose crude humor and slapstick violence parody both Western superhero tropes and Polish everyday life. With 30 issues to its name, the series has become a cult touchstone in Polish comics for its unapologetic, lowbrow charm and its refusal to take itself—or the genre—seriously.
