WILDSTORM

A short-lived Italian imprint from Edizioni Star Comics, WildStorm (1997–1998) repackaged and translated the American superhero and sci-fi titles from the WildStorm universe for a local readership. Though the series ran for zero issues, it represented an early attempt to bring the distinct, creator-owned style of Jim Lee's studio to Italian newsstands. Its brief existence underscores the challenges of translating a sprawling, interconnected line of comics into a new market.
