Whiz Comics, published by Anglo-American Publishing Company Limited from 1941 to 1945, was a brisk, 43-issue anthology that brought a distinctly British sensibility to the wartime comic boom. While it featured a rotating cast of heroes and adventurers, the series is most closely associated with the work of artist and writer Jack Prout, whose energetic style defined many of its early covers and stories.
